avsnet announces it has completed the Cisco (ATP) TelePresence Video accreditation.
This award recognises avsnet has met the rigorous Cisco certified personnel levels and the Advanced Lab required for demonstration and support and formalises its expertise in consulting, designing, deploying and supporting the Cisco TelePresence Video technologies.
The Cisco TelePresence portfolio integrates tightly with other business video and collaboration technologies to deliver compelling face-to-face communication.
Cisco invited avsnet to apply for the accreditation recognising its expertise within the area of collaborative video communications. The arduous exams were all passed within ten weeks of registering for the accreditation.
avsnet is a technology agnostic specialist that works with end user organisations, understands their individual communication and collaboration needs and then delivers the most suitable technology. This Cisco accreditation adds to the advanced accreditations and relationships avsnet has with Polycom, Lifesize, Microsoft and Crestron.
avsnet chairman, Mike Mason commented, “It’s great to have the badge, even though we were more than qualified by experience and the technical capabilities we have. It’s good to have the stamp of approval from Cisco and I look forward to an even closer working relationship with them in this very topical and fast growing area. All credit to our technical team for getting through this stringent accreditation so quickly. With Microsoft Lync, our excellent Polycom relationship and now the Cisco ATP, we are in really good shape to deploy and support all the market leading technologies.
The Cisco relationship enables us to concentrate on total User Experience as we strongly believe in optimising a network to support sensitive video and voice applications. Some of our competitors who only deliver end points are not really understanding the market. We like to take ownership of the full solution, taking the risk from the customer and delivering back to them first class video communications that integrate with the rest of their business communications strategy, giving them the full benefits associated. Ease of use and quality video experiences get adopted into a company’s communications DNA – it is only at this point that an organisation enjoys those true cost, time saving and productivity benefits. This is an outstanding accomplishment for avsnet, demonstrating our desire to develop our relationship with the Cisco commercial teams and work together to develop and enhance our mutual capabilities to support our customers”.
